Founded in 1984 and formally established in 1998 as Western Engineering Pvt. Ltd., Western Group has advanced Bangladesh’s development through innovative and impactful contributions across diverse sectors.

Over the years, Western Group has evolved into a multifaceted conglomerate with a strong presence in manufacturing, IT and ITES, renewable energy, and eco-friendly initiatives. Western Group’s success is powered by 581 cutting-edge machines as well as the largest fleet of dredgers, 41 American and European Dredgers including 28’’ cutter suction dredger, in Bangladesh, enabling the company to execute complex projects with precision and efficiency. This technological advantage ensures timely delivery, quality assurance, and the ability to tackle challenging engineering demands. Through precision, quality, and efficiency, Western Group has completed 66 landmark projects and is actively advancing 52 ongoing projects valued at BDT 4,000 Crores (Approx. US$340 million). With an annual turnover exceeding BDT 2,500 Crores (Approx. US$230 million), Western Group continues to demonstrate strong operational capability and sustainable growth.
